Report: Apollo Crews And Commander Azeez Shifted To NXT 2.0 On WWE’s Internal Roster

Apollo Crews appeared on WWE NXT 2.0 on June 7, and he’s reportedly set to stay on the rainbow brand.

Crews returned to NXT on Tuesday night to confront NXT Champion Bron Breakker. He stated that he left the brand too soon, as there was still a lot he wanted to accomplish. He noted that he’d like to make history some day with Breakker. Later in the show, Crews teamed up with Solo Sikoa to defeat NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and Grayson Waller.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has moved Crews to NXT on its internal roster. Additionally, Commander Azeez, formerly known as Babatunde, has also been shifted over. The giant did not appear alongside Crews on NXT this week, but the duo have been paired together since WrestleMania 37.

Before his return to NXT, Crews hadn’t wrestled since the May 30 episode of WWE Main Event. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion has been used sporadically since he and Azeez were drafted to RAW in October 2021.
