Adam Cole is being given some time to rest.

After becoming the first-ever men’s winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Cup Tournament, Adam Cole was scheduled to compete in a 10-man tag alongside the rest of the Undisputed Elite. Shortly after the match was announced, Adam was pulled from the show along with Jeff Hardy with Tony Khan saying that both men were injured.

Now, Bryan Alvarez, on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio has stated that Adam Cole is being given time to rest and will be out of action until the Forbidden Door event at the end of the month.

In a report of his own, Mike Johnson of PWInsider echoed Alvarez in regards to Adam Cole. Johnson reports that while no specifics were given regarding Adam Cole’s injury, he is being the rest so as to not exasperate any smaller injuries, potentially making things worse for the near future. Adam will be back, along with Bryan Danielson, in time for the June 26 crossover show featuring AEW and New Japan wrestlers, if not sooner.
