The battle between Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss was no laughing matter at WWE Hell in a Cell.
Previously, the two men were close friends or, at the very least, they had a good boss-employee relationship. But Corbin turned on Moss after his own loss to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 38. Madcap scored an upset win over Corbin at WrestleMania Backlash, but the feud raged on. Corbin destroyed Madcap’s Andre the Giant Battle Royal trophy and used it to brutally attack his former ally.
When Madcap returned on the June 3 episode of SmackDown, he was back with a vengeance. He wound up facing Corbin in a match and losing via disqualification. He then attacked Corbin with a chair, and WWE official booked a No Holds Barred rematch for WWE Hell in a Cell.
The two foes brawled all around the ring and used plenty of weapons to hurt each other. Corbin slammed Moss onto the broadcast table and hit him with a chair. Moss returned the favor, and the two stars kept going back and forth. In the end, Madcap slammed Corbin into the steel steps and used them to smash Happy’s neck while it was trapped in a chair. He then pinned his rival to win the match.
