Warrior Wrestling has announced a star-studded bout for its show in Grand Rapids on June 18.
At Warrior Wrestling 23, Will Ospreay will defend the Warrior Title against Matt Cardona, Jeff Cobb, Swerve Strickland, Jake Something, Lance Archer, Davey Richards, and Brian Pillman Jr. The name of the bout’s stipulation is quite fitting; Ospreay has been sidelined with a kidney infection recently, while Cardona hurt his arm at GCW Downward Spiral on May 28. With that in mind, the reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion retweeted the announcement about this match and stated that the card is subject to change.
The promotion’s Twitter account noted that they are monitoring the situation with Cardona’s injury, and a replacement will be inserted into the match if needed. As for the rules of the bout, Warrior Wrestling tweeted that, “It starts 4 vs. 4. Losers eliminated. Then it’s 2 vs. 2. Losers eliminated. Then it’s a singles match. Last man left standing is the champ!”
