Game Changer Wrestling has booked a heated rematch for its “C.O.S.” show on June 5.
In a tweet on May 30, GCW announced that, if he’s clear to compete, Matt Cardona will face Blake Christian in a #1 Contender Match at the event. Cardona defeated Christian at GCW Downward Spiral on May 28, but he suffered an arm injury during the bout, so it’s unclear if he’ll be able to wrestle at the show in Atlantic City.

Cardona himself retweeted GCW’s post and said that he talked to his doctor, who told him that he needs surgery. For this reason, Cardona said he can’t do the match.

Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for this scheduled clash between Cardona and Christian. Likewise, Cardona is set to defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Nick Aldis at NWA Alwayz Ready on June 11, but due to his injury, the match is surrounded with uncertainty.
