Paige VanZant On AEW PPV Debut: I Showed Everybody I’m Meant To Be A Pro Wrestler

Paige VanZant made her AEW pay-per-view debut at Double Or Nothing with a successful performance for her team.

VanZant entered Las Vegas this past weekend on the brink of her pay-per-view debut for All Elite Wrestling, and now, she’s done it. In speaking with The Schmo, Paige VanZant reflected on her first PPV match, teaming with Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page:

“I’m feeling great. I went out there, we got the win. I feel like I put on an impressive performance. I showed everybody I’m meant to be a pro wrestler too,” VanZant expressed.

When asked about her thoughts on her in-ring performance, VanZant noted her goals to improve: “I never give myself a perfect grade. There’s always room for improvement. I’m only going to get better. I just started training pro wrestling, but you got to see how quickly I picked up pro-wrestling moves and I showed all the girls in the division. They got somebody to look out for.”

AEW Double Or Nothing took place in Las Vegas from the T-Mobile Arena this year. VanZant praised Las Vegas, citing it as the perfect place to make her AEW debut. “I knew that this was the only place I wanted to make my AEW debut. It had to be big and it had to be on a pay-per-view.”

In regards to an in-ring return, VanZant appeared hopeful. “I hope soon. I came out of this match unscathed and I have zero injuries. I put on a dominant performance. I can’t wait for my solo match.”

Hailing from Coconut Creek, Paige VanZant also indicated some South Florida inspiration in regards to her Double Or Nothing ring gear. “I had to represent Miami. I’m out in South Florida right now representing Coconut Creek, representing American Top Team. So I’m excited to be in their corner and training with them for my next fight.”
