The Young Bucks Mock The Hardys, Gangrel Appears On 5/27 AEW Rampage

The Young Bucks sent The Hardys a message on the May 27 episode of AEW Rampage.

Ahead of their clash at AEW Double or Nothing, Matt and Nick Jackson came to the ring dressed as The Hardys, and they also used the duo’s theme song. The Bucks also turned to the stage to reveal that Gangrel was there, and he walked to the ring with them. During the bout, Matt and Nick mocked The Hardys and hit all their greatest hits. In the end, Nick Jackson got the pin with Jeff’s Swanton Bomb.

After the bout, The Young Bucks turned on Gangrel, but The Hardys saved him. Matt and Jeff then hit the Twist of Fate and Swanton combo on Brandon Cutler, who was dressed like Lita.

Here’s how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play coverage:

The Young Bucks come to the ring dressed as The Hardys and using their music. They bring Gangrel out with them. Nick Jackson starts the match, mocks Jeff Hardy’s dancing and hits his signature dropkick. The Bucks hit Poetry in Motion, and Matt Jackson hits a diving elbow. Rust tags in and hits a flurry of offense. He eats two superkicks, and Cruz tags in. He takes two superkicks, and The Bucks hit the Twist of Fate/Swanton Bomb combination for the win.

Winners: The Young Bucks

Gangrel celebrates with The Young Bucks, but they turn on him and attack him until the real Hardys make the save. Cutler saves Matt and Nick from a double Twist of Fate, but Gangrel drops him with a DDT. The Hardys then hit Cutler with the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb.
