AEW Rampage Results (5/20/22): Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley And More

All Elite Wrestling will deliver a star-studded episode of AEW Rampage on May 20.

At the special early start time of 7 p.m. EST, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and other noteworthy stars will compete.

The results are as follows:

House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King) vs. Fuego Del Solo & 10 and Evil Uno of Dark Order

Fuego starts the bout and shows some fire early on. Malakai Black takes control and overpowers him. House of Black gangs up on Fuego and isolates him. Buddy Matthews mocks Penta’s signature and arm snap. Evil Uno tags in and takes the fight to Matthews. Malakai tags back in, and House of Black gangs up on Uno with a flurry of offense. King goes for a powerbomb, but Uno counters and tags Fuego. King sends the fan-favorite crashing to the outside. Back in the ring, King blasts Fuego with some chops. Matthews is back in, and he continues to ground Fuego. Both men are down after a standing Spanish fly. Black and 10 tag in, and the Dark Order powerhouse gains momentum with a flurry of offense. 10 dodges the Black Mass and slams Black. A knee strike floors 10, and Black logs in a knee-bar.

10 stuns Black with a lariat. Uno rallies with a series of strikes to Black. House of Black takes control with coordinated offense, and King pins Uno with the Gonzo Bomb.

Winners: House of Black

After the match, Death Triangle comes to the stage and reveal a tombstone with House of Black and Double or Nothing on it.

Backstage, The Acclaimed and Gunn Club discuss Anthony Bowens’ injury. They look to “daddy” Billy Gunn, who says adversity makes factions stronger. He says they’re gonna have a scissor party when Bowens gets back.

In an interview with Tony Schiavone, FTR responds to Roppongi Vice’s challenge for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. They say they want all the gold, so they accept the challenge, hoping it will help their chances in the title picture. Dax Harwood vows to give the challengers a fight.

Shawn Spears vs. Big Damo

Spears blasts Damo with a kick, and it doesn’t faze him. The big man crushes Spears with a crossbody on the floor. He hits a running senton, but Spears dodges a dive from the top rope. Spears drills Damo with a bare knee to the head and hits the C4 for the win.

Winner: Shawn Spears

After the match, Spears says he’s Wardlow’s kryptonite, and when they clash on Dynamite, he’ll prove that he’s a giant killer.

Backstage, The Undisputed Elite discuss their recent success. Adam Cole says Kyle O’Reilly is on fire, and he’s confident they’ll both make it to the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. O’Reilly says it’d be an honor to face him again. The Young Bucks say The Hardys’ schedule is open, and they throw down the challenge for a match at AEW Double or Nothing.

Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament: Kris Statlander vs. Red Velvet

Statlander showcases her power early on, as she lifts her opponent with one arm. Velvet traps Statlander in the ring apron and unloads with a series of strikes. She grounds Statlander and plays to the Baddies Section at ringside. Velvet targets her opponent’s leg. Statlander rallies and gets a two count with a German suplex. She goes for a deadlift suplex, but Velvet counters and slams her to the mat. Velvet gets a near fall with the Final Slice. Statlander gets a two count with the Blue Thunder Bomb. Velvet gets another two count with an innovative face-first slam. Statlander hits a lariat. Velvet counters the Big Bang Theory into a roll-up, but Statlander rolls through it and scores the three count.

Winner: Kris Statlander

The Baddies attack Statlander after the match, and Ruby Soho tries to make the save, but Jade Cargill overwhelms her. Anna Jay runs to the ring and clears it of the heels.

A video package hypes up the looming bout between HOOKHausen and Tony Nese & “Smart” Mark Sterling.

In the ring, TNT Champion Scorpio Page is standing alongside Ethan Page and Dan Lambert. Page says bad things happen to people who mess with them, and they exposed Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti for the “trash” they are. Sky tells Guevara to come to the ring, or he’ll bury him. Guevara and Tay Conti appear on the video screen, and he’s holding the TNT Championship hostage. He says he’ll give the title back if he gets a title shot. Lambert turns him down, and Guevara smashes the championship with a sledgehammer. Frankie Kazarian gets in on the fun, and Guevara says the match will happen, like it or not.

Backstage, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Toni Storm discuss their semifinal match on AEW Dynamite next week. Storm wonders whether Baker can win without her friend and says she’ll smash Baker’s teeth so bad, she’ll need her own D.M.D.

In pre-match promos, Dante Martin wants to soar to the top of the tag team division in AEW, starting tonight. Matt Sydal says he’ll show the Blackpool Combat Club what mentorship really looks like. Danielson says violence is working, and Moxley tells the duo to abandon all hope.

Jade Cargill cuts off Tony Schiavone and challenges Anna Jay to a TBS Championship Match for AEW Double or Nothing.

Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley vs. Dante Martin and Matt Sydal

Moxley and Danielson take the fight to Martin early on. “The American Dragon” stretches the young star out and double-teams him with Moxley. Sydal tags in and catches Moxley off-guard with a quick flurry of offense. They trade blows, and Moxley catches Sydal with a Stun Gun. Danielson hits a diving knee off the apron. Moxley and Danielson isolate Sydal through a commercial break. Martin makes a hot tag and hits a dive to the outside. Moxley chokes Sydal out, leaving Danielson and Martin alone in the ring. Danielson traps Martin in the LeBel Lock, but the young star fights his way to the ropes.

“The American Dragon” drills Martin with some kicks. Sydal and Martin rock Moxley with some double-team offense. Moxley drops Martin with a piledriver for a near fall. “The Purveyor of Violence” hits the Paradigm Shift for the win.

WinnersBryan Danielson and Jon Moxley

The Blackpool Combat Club, along with Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz, brawl with the Jericho Appreciation Society to close the show.
