Juice Robinson Is Happy Being The ‘Scottie Pippen’ Of Bullet Club, Confirms New Contract

Juice Robinson is staying with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and he’s set to be featured in a prominent role as a member of Bullet Club.

Robinson shockingly joined the faction at Wrestling Dontaku on May 1, the day after his NJPW contract was set to expire. The former FinJuice star himself previously stated he’d be leaving the promotion once his contract was up, but in hindsight, these remarks were a clear misdirect.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Robinson discussed his decision to remain with NJPW and made it clear that he “was about” to work elsewhere, but he realized that NJPW is where he belongs. He didn’t disclose specific terms of the deal, though.

“I’m keeping the details private, but I’m here where I am supposed to be,” Robinson said. “I don’t want to work somewhere else. I was about to, and I was ready to, but I didn’t want to. New Japan is where I belong.”

By joining Bullet Club, Robinson’s career will head down a starkly different path, as he’s been a babyface for the duration of his time with NJPW. In the same interview, he stated that he’s ready to show the world the “real” Juice. In doing so, he aims to revitalize the stable; he went so far as to call himself “The Booster”.

“Forget about Moderna or Pfizer, I’m going to start calling myself ‘The Booster,’” Robinson said . “I’m the shot in the arm that Bullet Club needs.

“Bullet Club fits perfectly for me. It’s a band of pirates, and I’ve wanted to be part of it since the day I stepped foot in New Japan. It took a long time for it to finally happen, but I’m going to make this electric.”
