Former IMPACT World Champion Reportedly Set To Return Soon

It is being reported that Sami Callihan, former IMPACT World Champion, is set to return sooner than later. Fightful Select has stated that Callihan, who has been out of action since September is scheduled to make his in-ring return as soon as this week’s Under Seige and IMPACT tapings in Cincinatti. Callihan suffered a broken ankle and noted to Busted Open Radio back in February that his recovery time was going a lot faster than expected.

“I’m feeling great, man. I’ve been going through physical therapy, athletic physical therapy as I like to call it,” Callihan explained. “Bustin’ my ass in there, I’ve been doing it about two weeks, almost three weeks in there at this point. Already did it for the day today and I’m out walking without a boot, it’s still not where I need it to be and I’m not the ‘Death Machine’ that I want to be yet, but we finally got those gears turning. A comeback is inevitable at this point.”

Callihan is an Ohio boy and with this being in his homestate, perhaps IMPACT brass is expecting a good reception for the once known Solomon Crowe.

“This is the longest I’ve sat out at home in my entire career. Knock on wood, this is the absolute worst injury I’ve had. I didn’t just break my leg, and that’s what people just don’t understand. I tri-lateral shattered my ankle and then broke my tibia and fibia as well. This is an injury that a lot of people, it could take a year-and-a-half, two years to come back from. I’m telling you right now, it’s not going to take the ‘Death Machine’ that long to come back from it.”

IMPACT Under Siege goes down tonight at 8 PM ET.
