Drew McIntyre: Fighting Roman Reigns For The WWE Title At Clash At The Castle Is A Dream Situation

Drew McIntyre is a two-time WWE Champion, but he still has a dream scenario in mind for his third title reign.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Drew McIntyre spoke about what challenging for the WWE Championship at WWE Clash At The Castle would mean to him. McIntyre, a Scotland native, wants to win the title at WWE’s newest premium live event in Wales and called it a dream scenario.

“I’m a two-time WWE champion, but I never won the title in front of our fans,” McIntyre said. “My dream situation is fighting for the title against Roman at the UK show. There is going to be such intense anticipation for that event. And that would be a match, atmosphere-wise, that people would always remember.”

Before WWE heads overseas, McIntyre will get a shot at Reigns in the form of a six-man tag team match at WWE WrestleMania Backlash.

“Roman and I know each other well inside the ring, and people are about to see us at our best,” McIntyre explained. “Randy, Riddle and The Usos are going to add a lot, and I still have a lot to prove against Roman.”

McIntyre also discussed a potential match with Tyson Fury, who continues to tease his return to WWE.

“If Tyson Fury steps back into the WWE ring, it’s not going to be as easy as he thinks,” McIntyre stated. “He showed last time in his match against Braun that he’s capable. And, no doubt, he’s an entertainer. But if he steps into the ring against me, he’s in for something he’s never experienced before.”
