Former-IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Juice Robinson made a startling return on Sunday. Arriving clad in a balaklava and a Bullet Club vest, Robinson attacked IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi and stole the title belt from the new champion.
Robinson had initially feigned leaving NJPW after a Chicago Street Fight in April, after the company’s Windy City Riot event. Much to-do was made on commentary about it being Robinson’s final match under the NJPW banner. Robinson even mentioned that his contract expired on April 30th, and that he had not re-signed.
The Juice Robinson that left the arena in Chicago was not the same Juice Robinson that appeared in Fukuoka. Filled with rage, walking tall, Juice Robinson cut a warpath out of the PayPay Dome, with a stolen title on his shoulder and a brand new allegiance.

Wrestling Dontaku is historically a big night for Bullet Club, which formed around Wrestling Dontaku on May 3rd, 2013, and this year’s event was no different. Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens picked up the IWGP Tag Team Titles, Taiji Ishimori won the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title, and The Good Brothers returned to Japan for the first time since 2016.
