Randy Orton wants to be remembered for his longevity, his consistency, and his loyalty.
“The Viper” is celebrating his 20th anniversary with WWE, and he has racked up a number of impressive accolades up to this point. From world titles to WrestleMania main events, Orton has practically done it all.
WWE posted a video in which Orton looked back on the greatest moments. In one highlight, Orton stated that he wants his legacy to be that he, like The Undertaker, always stayed with WWE. He also noted that Roman Reigns could go on to Hollywood, but “The Viper” will remain with WWE.
“A lot of people ask me what my legacy will be,” said Orton. “You know, I think talking WWE more specifically, my legacy will be that I was the next guy after The Undertaker, that was the only person that never went anywhere else and had more matches, more titles, more accolades. I don’t care, Roman Reigns, I’m sure he’s got Dwayne Johnson’s agent’s number on speed dial. Roman will be in Hollywood. I’ll still be here. I’m in my prime, ladies and gentlemen. I got a long way to go. My legacy will be that I did it longer than anybody.”
Orton currently holds the RAW Tag Team Championship with Riddle. On the April 25 episode of WWE RAW, Orton’s anniversary will officially be celebrated.
