IMPACT Wrestling Teases Sami Callihan’s Return With Cryptic ‘EGV’ Vignette

It looks as if Sami Callihan is finally on his way back to IMPACT Wrestling.

During Saturday’s Rebellion pay-per-view, IMPACT played a new promo teasing the arrival of “EGV.” Set to the tune of some Americana-style music, the video played some images of the IMPACT roster along with x-rays, flashing lights and binary code, among other items. The video didn’t directly address anyone specifically, but the binary code gave away a big clue as to who the video was for.

The binary code spells out “Sami”, which would indicate Sami Callihan is cleared for a return to the company.

Callihan has been out since September with a broken ankle, and initially had a return window of Spring 2022. In December, Callihan said that he had the screws removed from his ankle and had started to walk on it, and gave another update in February when he said that his return was inevitable.

“It’s not a physical thing, it’s always going to be a mental thing with me. This is the longest I’ve sat out at home in my entire career. Knock on wood, this is the absolute worst injury I’ve had. I didn’t just break my leg, and that’s what people just don’t understand,” Callihan told Busted Open Radio in February. “I tri-lateral shattered my ankle and then broke my tibia and fibia as well. This is an injury that a lot of people, it could take a year-and-a-half, two years to come back from. I’m telling you right now, it’s not going to take the ‘Death Machine’ that long to come back from it.”

What do you think “EGV” means? And when could we see it — or him — on IMPACT TV?
