Beat The Clock Challenge, Intercontinental Title Bout And More Set For 4/29 WWE SmackDown

WWE is starting to build the card for the April 29 episode of WWE SmackDown.

As confirmed during the April 22 episode, SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey will compete in a Beat The Clock “I Quit” Challenge. The two foes will collide in an “I Quit” Match for the title at WWE WrestleMania Backlash, and they’ll aim to outdo each other in this competition next Friday. In preparation for their rematch, they’ll try to make their opponent say “I Quit” faster than the other.

Plus, Ricochet will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Shanky. After the champion retained the gold against Jinder Mahal the previous week, the latter confronted Ricochet on Friday night. With Shanky standing next to him, the duo set the stage for the title match next week. Ricochet vowed to be a fighting champion, and Shanky stepped up to the challenge.

Finally, after Sami Zayn ran away from Drew McIntyre for the third consecutive week, the two stars will clash in a Steel Cage Match next Friday.

Zayn got himself two weeks in a row in singles matches against McIntyre heading into Friday night. Even with the added stipulation of a Lumberjack Match on the April 22 episode, he still managed to escape. But WWE official Adam Pearce booked a cage bout to ensure a decisive winner next time around.

The announced card is as follows:

  • Intercontinental Championship: Ricochet (c) vs. Shanky (with Jinder Mahal)
  • Beat The Clock “I Quit” Challenge: Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey
  • Steel Cage Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
