If you were wondering why Darius Martin didn’t tag with his brother Dante on AEW Dynamite this week, we now have the answer and it’s not great news.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Darius Martin has once again been sidelined with an injury. Sapp reports that the injury is to one of Martin’s legs and that he is expected to “miss a lengthy period” of time away from the ring once again. Darius recently came back from a torn ACL injury that put him on the shelf for well over a year.
Since Darius Martin’s return to the ring, Top Flight chalked up a 6-1 record in All Elite Wrestling and wrestled 11 matches overall. This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw the Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley and ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta) team up to defeat the trio of Dante Martin, Lee Moriarty and Brock Anderson.
On behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish Darius Martin a speedy recovery and hope he can return to the ring soon.
