Another Name Qualifies For Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament On 4/20 AEW Dynamite

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. earned a spot in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament following a big win over Danielle Kamela on the April 2o episode of AEW Dynamite.

On Wednesday, Baker returned to the ring for the first time since she lost the AEW Women’s World Championship on the “St. Patrick’s Day Slam” edition of the show. Kamela dominated the opening minutes of the bout, but “The Role Model” later rallied. Toward the end of the match, Baker survived Kamela using a Pittsburgh Steelers “Terrible Towel” as a weapon long enough to take her down with a Slingblade and superkick. After she hit a spinning neckbreaker, Baker stomped Kamela and made her tap put to the Lockjaw, using a Pittsburgh Steelers glove, for the win.

For a brief recap of how the match ended, check out below courtesy of our live play-by-play coverage:

Baker enters with some Pittsburgh Steelers players, much to the fans’ delight. Kamela takes Baker to the mat, but the former champion gains the upper hand. Baker suplexes Kamela, but the newcomer slams Baker into the turnbuckle and continues to control the bout. Kamella is practically dominating the match, and she drops Baker with a kick. She uses a Terrible Towel as a weapon, but Baker rallies with an elbow strike. She takes Kamela down with a Slingblade and blasts her with a superkick. A spinning neckbreaker gives Baker even more momentum. She stomps Kamela and makes her tap out with the Lockjaw using a Steelers glove.

Winner: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

After the match, Baker stated that the women’s division is a mess without her, insulted her fellow competitors in the bracket and vowed to win the tournament, which will conclude at AEW Double or Nothing.

With the victory, Baker joins Jamie Hayter, Red Velvet, Ruby Soho,  Toni Storm, and Hikaru Shida in the bracket.
