A new champion was crowned at AEW Battle of the Belts II. Keep reading if you want to be spoiled.
AEW taped the Battle of the Belts special on April 15; the event will air on April 16. The show featured three title matches, and in one of the most buzzworthy bouts on the card, Scorpio Sky defended the TNT Championship against former champion Sammy Guevara. Sky defeated “The Spanish God” to win the gold on the March 9 episode of AEW Dynamite. In the rematch, according to reports from live fans, Guevara emerged victorious. With the win, he became a three-time TNT Champion and ended Sky’s undefeated streak in singles competition, which stretched over a year.
Guevara and Sky have been feuding since the latter won the gold in the first place. Though Sky turned down Guevara’s challenge to a title shot, AEW management gave the former champion a chance to regain the gold.
