New ROH World TV Champion Crowned On 4/13 AEW Dynamite

Samoa Joe challenged Minoru Suzuki for the ROH World Television Championship on the April 13 episode of AEW Dynamite.

This dream match main-evented the show, and it was a showcase of hard-hitting brutality. In the end, “The Samoan Submission Machine” emerged victorious, as he pinned Suzuki with the Muscle Buster. Suzuki previously won the title at ROH Supercard of Honor on April 1. This bout marked Joe’s second match in AEW. He signed with AEW after his appearance at Supercard of Honor and defeated Max Caster on the April 6 episode to qualify for the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament.

After the match, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt crashed the new champion’s celebration. The duo delivered the present they told Joe he’d be getting in the form of a beatdown. The lights went out, and when they came back on, the gigantic Satnam Singh was standing behind “The Samoan Submission Machine.” Lethal, Dutt and Singh attacked Joe and left him lying to close the show. The attack served as a measure of revenge for Lethal; Joe saved Jonathan Gresham from the former ROH World Champion and confronted him at the end of Supercard of Honor.

Singh signed with AEW in September 2021, and he has been training at The Nightmare Factory. He was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA in 2015, but he is now chasing greatness in wrestling.
