Jonathan Gresham will defend the Ring of Honor World Championship at AEW Battle of the Belts on April 16.
During the April 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, the broadcast team confirmed that Gresham would defend the gold against former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle.

Gresham became the undisputed ROH World Champion by defeating Bandido at ROH Supercard of Honor on April 1. This event was the first ROH show since AEW president Tony Khan became the owner of the promotion. At the post-show media scrum, Khan stated that he wanted to have Gresham defend the title on AEW programming.
