NWA Powerrr Results (4/12): Matt Cardona vs. Da Pope

The April 12 episode of NWA Powerrr was a special “Super Powerrr” edition, as it featured a world title match.

In the main event, Matt Cardona defended the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Da Pope. Elsewhere on the show, The Commonwealth Connection faced The Dirty Sexy Boys.

The results are as follows:

  • Nick Aldis wished Da Pope luck in his title match against Matt Cardona; he said he’d be honored to face Da Pope. That being said, his feud with Cardona isn’t limited to the championship, and he’s determined to get revenge by making him tap out.
  • The Commonwealth Connection (Doug Williams & Davey Boy Smith Jr.) defeated The Dirty Sexy Boys (JTG & Dango)
  • In an interview, Austin Idol talked about the Tyrus Slam Challenge on last week’s episode, where Tyrus screwed Cyon out of the victory. Idol revealed that he is Cyon’s father.
  • KiLynn King defeated Natalia Markova
  • Backstage, Mims showed off his “gun collection” (his arm” and declares his intent to compete in the Tyrus Slam Challenge. He also noted that he was rooting for Pope against Cardona.
  • At the podium, the NWA World Tag Team Champions La Rebelion called out The Briscoes, and all other challengers, and vowed to beat everyone. They emphasized that they’re not afraid of The Briscoes, and they’ll take fight to the duo.
  • In an interview with May Valentine, Aron Stevens recalled the way Trevor Murdoch punched him last week.
    • Stevens dramatically changed his “character” by waving his hand multiple times and stated that Murdoch’s actions hurt him.
  • Miserably Faithful (Sal The Pal, Judias & Gags the Gimp) (with The Sinister Minister) defeated The Fixers & Colby Corino
  • Jennacide cut a promo about she doesn’t need  Taryn Terrell or Paola Blaze, as she can stand on her own.
  • NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship: Matt Cardona (c) defeated Da Pope to retain
