Raquel Gonzalez debuted on the April 8 episode of WWE SmackDown under the name “Raquel Rodriguez”.
Kayla Braxton introduced her during an interview, and the powerhouse praised the women’s division before she made it clear that she intended to make an impact. Los Lotharios (Angel and Humberto) interrupted and tried to welcome Rodriguez to SmackDown with a kiss, but she turned them down.

Gonzalez is a former NXT Women’s Champion, and she is also a two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion. She won the inaugural Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Dakota Kai in 2021. The duo won the titles at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 2 and lost them to Toxic Attraction on the April 5 episode of NXT 2.0.
On the same show, Gunther and Marcel Barthel also debuted.
