Kurt Angle is going back under the knife next month for some major surgery.
On the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he is actually having major surgery next month on both of his knees that will end up putting him in a wheelchair or a walker for the time being.
“I’m having my knees replaced next month,” Kurt Angle said. “Both of them at the same time, I’m getting it over with. I’ll be on a wheelchair or a walker.” [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
Kurt Angle has had a history of injuries over the last several decades, including infamously breaking his neck prior to the 1996 Olympic Games, where he won his gold medal.
The amount of injuries Angle has suffered in professional wrestling alone between WWE and IMPACT Wrestling; it’s honestly surprising he’s not in worse shape than he is. Hopefully, this knee surgery will improve his quality of life going forward.
This surgery would certainly lead you to believe there is no chance of Angle stepping back into the ring for one more match in the future.
