Matt Cardona has been announced as the first participant in The Wrestling Showcase.
In a tweet on April 6, The Wrestling Showcase announced that Cardona is set for the event, which will be held in Chicago on September 3.

Cardona currently holds the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship and the IMPACT Digital Media World Championship, among other titles in his collection.
WrestleZone previously reported that The Wrestling Showcase is a major event, not a new promotion; several noteworthy names are already attached to the project.
