During the April 4 episode of WWE Raw, Elias made his return to the ring under a new name.
Kevin Owens came out and mentioned his WrestleMania 38 match against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Owens said that he should be praised by the WWE Universe for how he put himself at risk to give Austin his own moment. Some unfamiliar music cut him off, and out came Elias, with a new look and a new name, Ezekiel.
A visibly confused Owens said that he wasn’t “Ezekiel,” but Elias. Ezekiel shook his head and said that he is the younger brother of Elias. Owens refused to believe that, however, and called him a liar repeatedly, even as Ezekiel attempted to correct him. A now irate Owens said that whoever he was, he had ten seconds to leave the ring. After he counted down, Ezekiel didn’t move, so Owens simply left the ring.

Before this return, Elias hadn’t been seen on WWE TV since July 19, 2021, when he lost a Symphony of Destruction match to Jaxson Ryker.
