Samoa Joe Signs With All Elite Wrestling, Appears At Supercard Of Honor

Samoa Joe has found a new home, as the superstar is officially headed to All Elite Wrestling.

After being released by WWE earlier this year, Joe was a free agent for most of the beginning of the year. However, the new All Elite Wrestling superstar is now all in, as All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan confirmed the news on Twitter shortly after Joe made a surprise appearance at Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor event.

Following Jonathan Gresham’s victory to become the undisputed ROH World Champion, the champion was attacked by Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt. Joe shocked the crowd and competitors in the ring, coming down to scare Lethal off before locking Dutt into a nasty submission to close out the show.

Samoa Joe was released by WWE on Thursday, January 6, 2022, according to a new report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select. During the end of his WWE tenure, Joe was a part of the NXT brand and prior to the 2.0 relaunch, was NXT Champion.

Samoa Joe was briefly brought back to the company after being released on April 15, 2021. As part of his re-hiring, Joe became a part of the talent scouting process but now, he has been released along with several other NXT staff members this week.
