Anthony Bowens Dealing With Knee Injury, CM Punk vs. Max Caster Set For 3/30 AEW Dynamite

An injury to Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed has led to a big singles match tonight for Max Caster on AEW Dynamite.

This morning on Busted Open Radio with Dave LeGreca and Tommy Dreamer, Tony Khan joined the show to talk about tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. During the segment, Khan announced that Max Caster would go one on one with CM Punk tonight on Dynamite.

The All Elite Wrestling president also revealed that this is due to the fact that Anthony Bowens has been sidelined with a knee injury for the past month. Khan stated he thought that Bowens would only be out for two weeks, but it’s been longer than anyone had anticipated.

This is the opposite of what happened last year as Bowens worked a series of singles matches as Caster was out injured.

Khan admitted that the injury has caused him to alter some plans in recent weeks but didn’t go into detail about what they were.

Following his appearance on Busted Open Radio, Khan took to social media to announce the match to the world, tweeting out:

“2 of the top orators in pro wrestling today will go one-on-one in the ring when @CMPunk battles @PlatinumMax on Dynamite TONIGHT! What will Caster say in his entrance rap? Can Punk shut Max’s big mouth?

CM Punk vs. Max Caster

#AEWDynamite @ 8pm ET/7pm CT on @TBSNetwork TONIGHT!” Tony Khan tweeted.

Tony Khan also revealed on social media that former Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal will go one-on-one with former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley tonight on AEW Dynamite.
