Sarah Stock is returning to the ring for the first time in seven years and now she’s shed a bit more insight on her decision to step back into the squared circle.
Sarah Stock went into detail about her decision to return to the ring on her latest It’s A Wander vlog, explaining how she found an opportunity to work three matches in Mexico on April 29, 30 and May 1.
“I’m at a point where I’m doing things that I want to do, things that I love and whatever makes me happy and is good for my well-being. And so when it was proposed to me to go to Mexico for these three matches, it just felt really right. The stars kinda aligned and it wasn’t planned at all, but I really thought there was no better way to get my feet wet again, test the waters a little bit than in Mexico with some super cool people,” Stock explained.
“There’s some differing opinions, especially from my Mexican fans about where I should return and how and with whom. And I always appreciate that people are still interested in my career and that they take the time to let me know their thoughts on it,” she noted, “but this is for me and I’m doing it in a way that I know is right for where I am in my life right now.”
“I knew going into there would be a time limit and there wouldn’t be that much time to prepare,” Stock added, “but I am going into it with a totally different mindset this time of just enjoying, doing what I love and having fun.”
Stock said she’ll be in Mexico training for her return for several weeks, adding that she’s “so excited.” In addition to the three matches on her schedule, Stock will also take part in a VIP meet-and-greet session on March 27.
Stock, aka Sarita/Dark Angel, is a former two-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion and had one reign as Wonder of Stardom champion in 2013. She hasn’t competed since she unsuccessfully challenged Io Shirai for the Wonder Of Stardom Championship at “Appeal The Heat” on October 11, 2015. Since then, she worked for WWE as a coach between 2015–2020.
