AEW Rampage Results (3/18/22): Darby Allin, Keith Lee And More Compete

A special late-night edition of AEW Rampage featured four bouts on March 18.

After TNT’s broadcast of NCAA basketball, Keith Lee, Darby Allin, and the House of Black, among others, performed on Rampage.

The results are as follows:

Darby Allin (with Sting) vs. The Butcher (with The Blade)

Allin takes the fight to The Butcher, but the big man overpowers him and sends his opponent to the outside. The former TNT Champion rallies with a dive to the outside, but The Butcher continues to use his size and strength to control the bout. He grounds Allin for several minutes and powerbombs him into the barricade. The fan-favorite rallies with a Code Red on the outside and a Coffin Drop on the floor. The Butcher is unable to beat the ten count, so Allin wins by count-out.

Winner via count-out: Darby Allin

Andrade El Idolo comes to the stage to distract Allin and Sting. Private Party attacks the duo, but The Hardys make the save. Matt Hardy challenges Andrade’s forces to fight them fair and square. Andrade and his allies get on the apron, but they back away. Hardy then challenges the quartet to an eight-man Texas Tornado Tag Team Match on AEW Dynamite.

In a backstage promo, Scorpio Sky brags about his victory over Wardlow on AEW Dynamite. Dan Lambert hypes up Sky and VanZant, who gloats about her looks and her fighting skills.

“Legit” Leyla Hirsch vs. Red Velvet 

Hirsch takes the fight to Velvet on the ramp. Velvet suplexes her former friend onto the ramp. The match quickly makes its way to the ring, and Hirsch takes control. Hirsh continues to maintain the advantage, but Velvet fires up with a flurry of offense. She gets a two count with a modified bulldog. Kris Statlander, with a newly dark demeanor,  comes to ringside to stop Hirsch from using a spare turnbuckle as a weapon, and Velvet capitalizes by pinning Velvet for the win.

Winner: Red Velvet

QT Marshall cuts a promo and says his own mother called him after he lost to HOOK. Marshall says he’s proud because he’s inviting HOOK to get the first QT Marshall Certificate of Accomplishment.

House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) vs. Bear Country and Fuego Del Sol

Malakai Black starts the bout against Bear Bronson. Fuego Del Sol, but he and his partners end up eating stiff strikes from Black. Matthews tags in and drills Bear Bronson with some quick, stiff kicks. King takes in and overwhelmed Bronson. He drills Fuego with a forearm in mid-air. Bear Boulder stares down the House and takes stiff blows from all three men. King floors him with a lariat. Matthews ultimately wins by pinning Fuego.

Winners: House of Black

In a taped promo, Penta Oscuro, helped by Alex Abrahantes, thanks Malakai Black for changing him. He says Death Triangle is inevitable, and “Cero Miedo“.

In a split-screen interview, The Acclaimed insult Keith Lee, who says the two men are just stepping stones for him.

Keith Lee vs. Max Caster (with Anthony Bowens)

Caster tries to use his quickness to evade Lee, but the big man easily overpowers him. Powerhouse Hobbs comes to the stage, and the distraction helps Caster take control. Lee perseveres and drills Caster with a forearm. Bowens gets in Lee’s face, and Caster takes advantage with a springboard dropkick. He grounds Lee for a few minutes, but “The Limitless One” takes control with a thunderous shoulder tackle. He throws Caster across the ring and blasts him with a series of strikes. Lee squashes Caster with a slam to the mat for the win.

Winner: Keith Lee

After the match, Hobbs comes to ringside and brawls with Lee. Starks attacks Lee, and The Acclaimed help beat him up too. Swerve Strickland, with a chair in his hands, runs to the ring, prompting Team Taz and The Acclaimed to exit the squared circle. Strickland and Lee stand tall together to close the show.
