Bryan Danielson Wants To Create A ‘Wrestling Paradise’ In AEW, Refers To Himself As A ‘Poet Laureate Of Violence’

Bryan Danielson thinks he and Jon Moxley can change AEW for the better.

All Elite Wrestling star Bryan Danielson recently appeared on Throwing Down With Renée & Miesha and went in-depth on his vision for what AEW wrestlers should be. Danielson spoke about Jon Moxley being the ‘brutalist’ of AEW, while he views himself as more of the ‘Poet Laureate’ of the company.

“These kids today need to learn how to properly wrestle, that’s my deal, right?,” Danielson claimed. “I also think AEW’s great, right? It’s not perfect in the way that I would like it to be and the way Jon [Moxley] would like it to be, right? I think there’s a little too much fooling around and Jon and I don’t wrestle the same style but we wrestle with the same seriousness, right?

“So I think that’s what we bring to the table and we need to teach that to the younger generation, to someone like Sammy Guevara, ugh, right? He has this vlog and I didn’t even know what a vlog was, it sounds like something to do with poop and when he started to try and get me on his vlog I was like okay, whatever man but he focuses so much attention on his vlog instead of just focusing on beating the crap out of somebody, which me and your husband [Jon Moxley] do quite well, right? So, I’d like to think Jon Moxley’s is more of a like brutalist-style of violence where I’m more of a Poet Laureate of violence, my violence is very eloquent.”

Danielson then went on to say that if he and Moxley were to team up, it’d lead to what he called his true ‘wrestling paradise’ in AEW.

“That’s pretty much it, I think AEW’s done a really great job, so much so that I was very happy where I worked before and still chose to go to AEW and I think that speaks a lot for the product that they’ve been producing already. These are minor quibbles, this is like me trying to create my wrestling paradise and if wrestling could be how I envisioned it, it would be like this and that’s what I want for me and Jon. So, that would be really the only thing, I think we have a great amount of diversity when it comes to having different styles and different acts and when you mix all that together, I think that’s a lot of fun, ya know?”
