TERMINUS has announced a clash between two renowned stars for its second show.
In a tweet on February 24, the promotion revealed that Lio Rush will face Sw3rve The Realest, also known as Shane Strickland, in a singles bout.

This bout comes at an interesting time for both men. Sw3rve is venturing back out into the wrestling world following the expiration of his 90-day non-compete clause after WWE released him in November. During his time with the company, Strickland, then known as Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, enjoyed some success as a member of Hit Row; he won the NXT North American Championship, and the stable was called up to SmackDown through the WWE Draft in October.
Meanwhile, Rush is also a free agent, as his AEW contract has expired. The last stretch of his time with the company was mired in controversy, as Rush made some critical comments about the way Tony Khan and AEW handled Big Swole’s departure from the company. Even after Rush stated that he spoke with Khan about the matter, he wasn’t featured on AEW TV in the weeks leading up to his own exit.
Rush suffered a shoulder injury last month during PWG’s two-night Battle of Loss Angeles event, but it seems like he’s cleared to compete, given this match announcement.
The updated card for TERMINUS 2 is as follows:
- Terminal Eliminator Match: Kenny Alfonso vs. Josh Alexander (who just had to pull from the event due to work visa issue, replace to be announced soon) vs. Leon Ruff vs. Tre Lamar
- Adam Priest vs. Invictus Khash
- ROH Original World Championship: Jonathan Gresham vs. Santana
- Kevin Blackwood & Daniel Garcia vs. Dante Caballero vs. Joe Keys
- Lio Rush vs. Sw3rve The Realest
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
