Ron Simmons Announced As Next Guest On Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions

Ron Simmons is set to shoot the breeze with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

It’s been announced that WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons will join Stone Cold Steve Austin on the next episode of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions which is set to release next Friday, February 18.

Simmons made his WWE debut in 1996 being dubbed Farooq Asad with a gladiator-like gimmick but would quickly rebrand and become a member of The Nation of Domination. Simmons is perhaps most known as Farooq, teaming with Bradshaw as member of the APA where he and Bradshaw would become three-time WWF Tag Team Champions. Simmons was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 following a decade-long run with the company.

Simmons recently appeared on WWE Untold and spoke about how he evolved as Farrooq in WWE over the years. In regards to the infamous gladiator attire, Simmons said he saw it as a challenge and made the best of the situation.

“When you’re thrown with challenges like this, this is what makes you better. So I took that character and I said to myself, ‘I’m gonna make the most out of it. I’m gonna make this work.’ [Faarooq] morphed on over into other avenues. He went into The Nation. I’m extremely proud of myself for being a man, taking the character on, not bitching and griping about it,” Simmons stated.
