Jeff Hardy is currently at home after having been released from his contract at WWE. While many fans speculate where Hardy will go, his brother seems to be hinting that a reunion isn’t impossible.
“Jeff’s no-compete clause runs until March 9,” Matt said during the latest episode of “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy“. “So, that’s March 9, 2022. So, as of March 10, he will be free to do whatever, and then he could negotiate with somebody, or work for another big company that has television, whatever it may be. And, do I think Jeff Hardy could end up coming to AEW and teaming with Matt Hardy again? As they say in the wrestling business, never say never, anything is possible. We’re definitely going to be working together, and we’ll see if the planets align, and we do get the opportunity to become the greatest team in all of space and time once more.”
Jeff Hardy was released by WWE back on December 9 following an incident at a house show in which he left through the crowd during a six-man tag match. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that WWE asked Hardy to go to rehab and he declined. Matt later stated that Jeff’s subsequent drug test came back clean.
Both the Hardy Boyz are scheduled to team up at a Big Time Wrestling show in March.
