Booker T is set to celebrate Black History month with his fellow Texans.
Booker is one of the most successful black pro wrestlers in the modern age. He is also a very proud Texan. This year, WrestleMania will take place during the first weekend of April in Dallas, Texas.
Now, WWE has announced that Booker will be visiting For Oak Cliff, a community center aiming to liberate Oak Cliff, a neighborhood in Dallas, Texas, from systemic oppression. Booker will visit the center to take part in WWE’s WrestleMania 38 Community Champions showcase. As part of his appearance, the former 5-time WCW World Champion will join 4th and 5th-grade students for a Black History Month educational session.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T will visit For Oak Cliff as part of WWE’s WrestleMania 38 Community Champions Showcase. Booker T will learn more about the work “For Oak Cliff” does for the Oak Cliff Community in South Dallas and host a Black History Month educational session with students.
Booker T will join 20 students (4th and 5th graders) for a Black History Month educational session celebrating Black historical figures, athletes, and celebrities. Students will identify a Black History hero and give a brief (1-2 minute) presentation. Students will have the option to dress up as their hero or create an arts and crafts image of them. Booker T will also join in by choosing his own hero to spotlight.
For Oak Cliff will be honored as a Community Champion during the week leading up to WrestleMania 38, which takes place Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
