Kay Lee Ray has bullied her way into getting a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship on the February 8 episode of WWE NXT 2.0.
On the February 1 edition of the show, Ray challenged the champion, Mandy Rose to a match in a heated promo exchange. KLR focused on her background as an impressive in-ring performer who previously held the NXT UK Women’s Championship. Meanwhile, Rose bragged about her status as a genuine star who has been featured on billboards and magazines. This clash set the stage for more animosity later in the show.
KLR snuck into Rose’s car when Toxic Attraction was trying to leave the venue, and she abducted the champion’s stablemates, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. In another segment, KLR attacked Rose backstage and threw food on her to humiliate her rival. At the end of the show, the challenger threatened Rose with her bat until the champion agreed to give her a title bout next week.
