Davey Richards Comments On Royal Rumble; Hopes WWE Gives New Talent A Chance

Davey Richards believes the WWE product has gotten boring and that for him was accentuated at Royal Rumble. The American Wolf took to social media on 1/31 to give a quick review of the PPV and stated some of the issues he sees in the current product today.

“I think WWE is getting too boring, same story over and over about the same people,” Davey shared on Instagram. “Some of the moments were good, but let’s focus on the main storyline related to the main show at WrestleMania, they are the same people, I hope WWE develops their ideas and give other talents a chance or their popularity will drop a lot.”

Richards made his wrestling promotion return with Major League Wrestling in their 40-man Battle Riot III match but before he did, he spoke with Dominic DeAngelo of WrestleZone about his decision to join the company.

“It’s no secret I’ve always viewed wrestling as a sport. I’ve never been into the realy silly characters and stuff, to each their own, but again, that’s my own so it’s good to be with a company that thinks along the same lines so we’re on the same level I think, so it felt very organic.”

Davey entered first overall in the contest before later being eliminated mid-match. He later became the 2021 winner of the Opera Cup and is now challenging Alex Hammerstone for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship at SuperFight on February 26 in Charlotte.
