Lio Rush went down with an injury at PWG Battle of Los Angeles Night Two on January 30.
Rush faced Buddy Matthews in a second-round match on Sunday and won the contest via disqualification. Matthews hit Rush with a Curb Stomp and kept attacking his opponent until the referee was forced to disqualify him.
Due to his victory, Rush advanced to the next round, where he was set to face “Speedball” Mike Bailey in a semifinal match. But Matthews came to the ring and told the live fans in attendance that he would be replacing Rush, who had been taken to the emergency room.

Rush then posted an update in a tweet a few hours later. He stated that he’s not “good” right now, but he will be. “The Man of the Hour” didn’t offer a clear description of his condition or his diagnosis.
