Jeff Hardy has reportedly turned down an offer to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former WWE star Jeff Hardy was contacted by the company to be inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 38 weekend but turned down the offer.
Per the report, John Laurinaitis called Hardy to offer him a spot in the HOF class, an offer Hardy reportedly turned down. It was then said that Hardy also asked for the results of a recent drug test because he ‘knew he wasn’t going to test positive’, and it took six weeks to get the results back.
According to the report, WWE doesn’t want Hardy to reunite with his brother Matt in AEW that’ll strengthen an already stacked tag team roster in the company. Hardy’s under WWE contract until March 9 due to a non-compete clause following his release from the company on December 9, 2020, so he couldn’t join AEW or any other promotion until that expires.

During a recent appearance on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, Matt Hardy spoke about the possibility of teaming back up with Jeff and said that they wouldn’t need much time to adjust to working together at all.
“I mean, I’ll be honest, when it comes to myself and Jeff teaming up and being The Hardy Boyz, it’s like riding a bike. You just get back on and you start pedaling and it’s just business as usual. So that’s one thing that’s really cool you know, knowing that I’ve literally been there since this guy was born, you know his whole life so we really know each other inside now.”
