The Briscoes On Potentially Signing With WWE: We Would ‘Survive And Thrive’ There

The Briscoes (Mark and Jay) are one of the most accomplished duos in the wrestling world; they’ve won tag team titles in numerous promotions, including Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

They’re the reigning GCW World Tag Team Champions, and the 12-time ROH World Tag Team Champions are facing an uncertain future now that they’re officially free agents. Because The Briscoes have been feuding with FTR on Twitter, many fans have linked Mark and Jay with All Elite Wrestling.

But a recent appearance on Busted Open, when asked whether they’d “survive” if they went to WWE, the brothers expressed their confidence that they would thrive in the promotion. At the end of the day, they get the job done when the bell rings, and that’s all that matters.

“I think we’d definitely survive, you know, because at the end of the day, you gotta get in the ring and ring the bell,” said Jay.

“Yeah baby, we’d survive and thrive because I mean, [if] Vince McMahon likes money, we go out there in between the ropes, that’s what we do,” said Mark. “We gonna make your company money. I think that’s bottom line, not trying to sound cocky or anything.”

Jay elaborated by noting that he and his brother believe in themselves, and they know they’re at their best right now.

“We’re very confident in our abilities,” said Kay. “Right now, we’re at the top of our game, so really man. anywhere we go, we gonna definitely like we said, survive and thrive.”

Likewise, Jay made it clear that the duo’s abilities are unmatched in tag team wrestling, so if any company wanted to split the brothers up, they wouldn’t be interested because it wouldn’t make sense to do so.

“I mean, right now, man we’re at the top of our game, man,” said Jay. “What we can do in a tag team wrestling match can’t nobody else do, so it wouldn’t make no sense for us to be singles wrestlers.”

The Briscoes’ long-term future remains unclear. For now, they’ll focus on defending the GCW World Tag Team Championship in an open challenge at “The WRLD On GCW” on January 23.
