GLOW Star Matilda The Hun has passed away at age 73.
Real name Deanna ‘Dee’ Booher, she appeared in numerous TV shows and movies throughout her life. She made her pro wrestling debut in the 1970’s.
She was known for working mud matches against both women and men, wanting to be known as just ‘one of the boys’. Her first pro wrestling match was against a 700-pound bear. Matilda claimed that she was the inventor of commercial phone sex.
She worked with GLOW for four years and was known for being one of the best villains on the show. After departing GLOW, Booher appeared for ‘Powerful Women of Wrestling’ as Queen Kong.
A few years ago, Booher claimed that her ailments were due to pro wrestling. She was stuck in a wheelchair and living in a senior community. Booher said that her nerves were dying in her fingers and toes but nobody could tell her why that was the case. It has been widely known that Booher has been ill for quite some time.
Bill Apter reported the death yesterday but would not reveal exactly what the cause of death was.
