Sasha Banks Dealing With Foot Injury, Will Miss 6-8 Weeks

Sasha Banks is going to be out of action for a few weeks.

On Saturday, WWE announced Sasha Banks had injured her foot last weekend at a live event in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Due to the injury, Banks will miss up to eight weeks time to recover. If this timeline holds up, it would keep Banks off of the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble event.

From WWE:

Sasha Banks suffered a foot injury Sunday evening at a WWE Live! event in Fayetteville, NC. After seeking emergency medical attention, it was determined nothing was broken. Sasha underwent an MRI and it was discovered she has a bruised calcaneus bone. She is at home recovering and undergoing physical therapy. She is expected to be out of action for 6-8 weeks.

Sasha Banks lost to Charlotte Flair in a SmackDown Women’s Championship match in Fayetteville; she has not competed since then.

While it looks like Sasha Banks will be missing the Royal Rumble match, WWE made some big announcements in relation to this year’s women’s Rumble match. On Friday, WWE confirmed several participants in this year’s women’s match, including Mickie James, The Bella Twins and Lita. Check out the full list of participants to date at this link.
