Jake Atlas Signs With AEW, Tony Khan Welcomes Him To The Team (Updated)

Jake Atlas is “All Elite.”

In a tweet on January 4, AEW President/General Manager Tony Khan announced that the company has signed Atlas. Khan praised Atlas for winning his AEW debut, which aired on the January 3 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation. He then told the newest member of the roster that he’d see him the following day at AEW’s TV taping in Newark, New Jersey.

WWE released Atlas on August 6, ending his run with the company after he spent over a year on 205 Live and NXT. Atlas worked a few dates, including ROH Death Before Dishonor, after his release, before he stepped away from wrestling. Now he’s back in the squared circle, and he joins other former 205 Live stars like 2point0 and Tony Nese on the roster.

Update: In a tweet, Atlas commented on the news; he said the opportunity means “everything” to him, and he vowed to prove himself this year.
