Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Says There’s ‘No Chance’ He Returns For Fast And Furious 10

The Rock says Vin Diesel’s got “no chance” of getting him back for another film in the Fast And Furious franchise.

Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have been not so quietly feuding, but earlier this year, Diesel extended a message to Johnson on Instagram, calling for the star to return to the upcoming Fast 10 film. Unfortunately for Diesel and fans of the Fast & Furious franchise, however, Johnson has no plans to do so.

“I told [Diesel] directly that I would not be returning to the franchise,” Johnson said in an interview with CNN when asked about the social media message from Diesel. “I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return,” Johnson explained. “Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding.”

While Johnson likely won’t be making his return to the world of Fast & Furious, he did say that he wishes nothing but the best for the cast and crew of the film. “My goal all along was to end my amazing journey with this incredible franchise with gratitude and grace,” Johnson said. “It’s unfortunate that this public dialogue has muddied the waters. Regardless, I’m confident in the Fast universe and its ability to consistently deliver for the audience… I truly wish my former co-stars and crew members the best of luck and success in the next chapter.”

The two stars have had a somewhat contentious relationship in the past and The Rock previously stated that he won’t come back for another film, but he had a “meeting of clarity” with Diesel. Although it seems like the two are no longer angered with one another, there are no plans for Johnson to return for another film with Diesel and it seems as if Johnson is at peace with that.
