Wrestling fans can credit Bobby Fish for bringing Kyle O’Reilly to All Elite Wrestling.
On this week’s episode of “Being The Elite,” Adam Cole told the Young Bucks how Fish was the driving force behind his Christmas surprise — O’Reilly’s arrival in AEW on the “Holiday Bash” episode of AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday.
“Bucks, Bucks, how ‘bout that Christmas surprise, huh?” said Cole. “How ‘bout it? Can you believe it? Myself, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly all standing together in the same ring. I know you’re probably worried about this because I was too. You know, Bobby’s the one who set this up. Bobby was the one who convinced Kyle to come here.”
Cole acknowledged that he and O’Reilly will have to settle “a lot of things”; after all, they had a bitter feud that led right into the former NXT Champion’s departure from the black-and-gold in August. Still, he noted that the combined might of the trio once known as the Undisputed Era and the Young Bucks would be unstoppable.
“…We’re so dangerous together as a trio,” said Cole. “And think about this — now we are a supergroup. Because the Young Bucks are also involved, AEW doesn’t know what hit ‘em. AEW is screwed because on top of how great we are, no one’s gonna be able to stop us. [We are] the ultimate group, the ultimate group.”
The Young Bucks were clearly less than thrilled with O’Reilly debut, and they didn’t share Cole’s excitement when he talked about it on BTE.
Cole, Fish, and O’Reilly will reunite in AEW to take on Orange Cassidy and Best Friends on the December 29 “New Year’s Smash” episode of AEW Dynamite.
