WWE Reschedules 12/29 Live Event In Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The ongoing COVID-19 surge continues to affect WWE.

In a tweet on December 27, the Coca-Cola Coliseum announced that the WWE Live event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on December 29 has been rescheduled to March 27, 2022. WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus had been advertised as the guest host of the event.

The announcement noted that tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster.ca, and those who originally purchased for the December 29 event will have them honored for the new date.

The COVID-19 surge, and the travel restrictions it is causing, already forced WWE to postpone a live event in Quebec. Despite this rescheduled event, the company had previously planned on holding the Toronto event with half capacity.

On December 26, several WWE stars missed their respective matches on two live events due to COVID-19.

Earlier on Monday, Fightful Select reported that, despite the surge, WWE is no longer requiring weekly COVID-19 testing.
