HOOK Involved In Post-AEW Rampage Holiday Bash Segment (Contains Spoilers)

HOOK has made quite the impression in All Elite Wrestling as of late.

HOOK, who has recently taken the internet wrestling community by storm, was involved in the post-show segment following AEW‘s upcoming Holiday Bash edition of Rampage. This week’s episode of Rampage was taped ahead of time on Wednesday night, but HOOK came out after the cameras stopped rolling to take part in an in-ring segment that also involved David Crockett, the former announcer and son of legendary promoter Jim Crockett.

*SPOILERS FOLLOW*

During the segment, Cody, who defeated Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship during the event (read full spoilers here), had some fun with the fans who stayed in attendance after the tapings. Cody started turning his heel, teasing the potential heel turn that some fans have speculated on for months. Cody then introduced Tony Khan, who brought out David Crockett, who said a few words. Khan would then mention that while he doesn’t know when the company will be back in Greensboro, they’ll be returning to North Carolina very soon, then congratulated Cody on his win to a chorus of boos.

Cody would then ask the fans to chant for a special young man named Ryan who was in attendance and then Khan would then give the crowd what they wanted…he sent HOOK to an absolute roar from the crowd. HOOK and Cody shake hands and then HOOK slaps Cody and Cody says ‘you only get one and I’ll give you a chance at a second one but only if Tony gives us the chance. Why not when we come back to Greensboro, we have Cody Rhodes versus HOOK?’ Khan says that he’ll ‘have to see’ but then says ‘LET’S DO IT!’ before the segment ends.

AEW is set to return to North Carolina for ‘Battle of The Belts’ in Charlotte on Saturday, January 8 at the Bojangles Coliseum and again on January 12 for Dynamite as well as a Rampage taping in Raleigh at the PNC Arena.
