Happy Corbin: Fans Think They’re So Smart, But They Get Caught Up In The Moment Like Anybody Else

Happy Corbin knows that fan reaction is the lifeblood of professional wrestling, and he says he enjoys toying with them and getting the right response from the WWE Universe.

WWE star Happy Corbin recently appeared on Out of Character with Ryan Satin and would delve into how the fans are quick to sometimes boo him but just minutes later, they switch their tune and begin to cheer.

“It’s so funny because the fans think they’re so smart with everything, they really do, but they get caught up in the moment just like anybody else. The guys that two years ago that were going ‘I hate Brock Lesnar, he only does two moves, I don’t wanna see him!’ are now cheering the loudest for him. He’s the same person but he’s just kind of changed his vibe a little bit.

“We did a promo, I walked out last week, we were in San Antonio [Texas] and they’re [fans] not used to the music, I don’t have the initial [reaction], like, drowning out boos because they haven’t seen it live yet but then I come out and they’re like ‘oh, this guy!’ So, I get those boos then I get into the ring and I say ‘if you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!’ and they all do it! Like, eight seconds ago you guys were booing me!

“It’s so funny, our fans are so funny like that, in two weeks they can change their mind on everything, you can go from the most hated person in the world to the greatest thing they’ve ever seen and they were the first to know that you were the best thing ever and it’s fun, man, it’s fun to toy with them. I think that’s what this character has got to do a lot with.”

Corbin recently spoke about how he hopes his End Of Days finisher has been protected and hopes no one ever kicks out of it. Read more about how he takes pride in the move at this link.
