Ricky Starks: I’m The ‘Stroke Daddy’ In Real Life And Wrestling, Parents Call Me That Sometimes

Ricky Starks is the “Stroke Daddy.”

The reigning FTW Champion is known by the moniker as a wrestler, but in his words, it also applies to his real life.

During an appearance on Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker, the AEW star confirmed that he is indeed the “Stroke Daddy”, both in wrestling and in real life.

“Yes sir, Stroke Daddy,” said Starks. “Great nickname. I mean I still get called that from time to time.

“I mean, in both. Real life and wrestling [Winks].”

Later in the interview, the Team Taz standout also noted that he has a great “stroke” in golf, so that’s another reason why the nickname is fitting.

“I’ve had parents call me Stroke Daddy,” said Starks. “I’m good at golf, I have a very good stroke at golf. That’s what I’m called that.”

Starks also took a moment to discuss his Team Taz stablemate, Hook, who just made his in-ring debut on AEW Rampage. But the FTW Champion didn’t compliment Hook for his skills as a wrestler. Instead, he described his hair and expressed his belief that it will practically turn into Audrey II, the man-eating plant in Little Shop of Horrors.

“Dude it’s majestic,” said Starks. “Every time I see him, it’s like it’s getting bigger and bigger. I honestly think, one day, if you’ve ever seen Little Shop of Horrors, it’s just gonna have a mouth and it’s like, ‘Feed me Seymour, feed me.'”

Starks went on to discuss Team Taz and other aspects of his run in AEW.
