AEW Dynamite Viewership And Demo Rise On 12/8, Finishes Top 5 Overall On Cable

AEW Dynamite made its Long Island, New York debut on Wednesday, and the viewership and demo for the December 8 episode saw a small rise.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that 872,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday, which is up from the 861,000 viewers who tuned in last week.

In the 18-to-49 demographic, the show scored a 0.33 rating (430,000 viewers), which is up from the 0.31 rating (406,000 viewers) on December 1. This is a positive sign as All Elite Wrestling looks to ride out their month on TNT before jumping to TBS in January which will shift the west coast viewing audience back to their regular time before NHL began airing on TNT.

This week’s show saw a big homecoming for MJF which included the third annual Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale. The main event saw Bryan Danielson go one-on-one with John Silver of The Dark Order.

Per Showbuzz Daily, this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite also placed 5th on cable for the day, coming in behind NBA basketball coverage, MTV’s The Challenge and Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County.
