Last night when All Elite Wrestling entered Long Island, New York. MJF brought AEW into the bizarro world as it’s the only place on earth where people embrace the self-proclaimed “salt of the earth.”
Following the AEW Dynamite tapings last night, MJF and Tony Khan addressed the live crowd to send everyone home happy. This led to MJF cutting a babyface promo to the live crowd the only way he knows how:
“Ladies and gentlemen, just in case you’re deaf, dumb, blind, or stupid. Wait a minute. We’re in Long Island. We’re none of those things!” MJF began. “Before I start talking, I just want to say how about we give it up for my best friend TK, Tony Khan. The same man who’s going to have to put up a lot of money in 2024, if we’re being honest. I love you; I love you! So there’s a couple of things I want to get off my chest before I leave your night number one, CM Punk f**king sucks! Chicago f**king sucks! And the only place that matters on God’s green earth is the most magical place in the world known as Long Island, New York!
“But here’s the deal, as a young kid, I had dreams, I had hopes, I had aspirations of standing inside of a square circle in front of 1000s of people in this amazing place known as Long Island. Matter of fact, there’s some people in this building that I probably went to school with. And a lot of people struggled to believe that this would be a possibility to reality. But you know what I said to those people? I said they were one word, and it starts with an M. M-m-m-mid! Last but not least, I just want to say I think we made it very, very clear tonight that I’m better than Piper in Portland. I’m better than Flair in the Carolinas. I’m better than Bret Hart in Canada. Because ladies and gentlemen, I’m from Long Island, and that means I’m better than you, and you know it!”
